hired for
Most of the time I fly as a subcontractor for other companies. The rest is urgent work, where a thermal camera needs to be in the air quickly.
01Subcontractor
Inspection
I fly as a subcontractor for contractors, inspection firms, consultants, utilities, insurers and loss adjusters, and deliver in the format you need. You keep the job and the client relationship.
- Roof, building and facade inspection
- Thermography — heat loss, moisture and thermal bridges
- Solar array and plant inspection
- Field and area mapping
- Photo and video documentation before and after a project

Raw data can be handed over if you write the report yourself. If the images go into your own template, the material is delivered directly, so you do not pay for a report you will not use.
02Incident support
Emergency support
I can be called out as incident support and turn up with the aircraft and a thermal camera. The purpose is to give incident command a picture that cannot be obtained from the ground. Both aircraft and controller have built-in mobile connectivity, so a live stream runs on my own network and does not require access to yours — this is arranged in advance.

I am used to working under SORA and to established SOPs. If the job runs under your own operating authorisation, I can join as a remote pilot under your operations manual — you provide the aircraft and approve me for the operation.
03Search
Thermal search
A thermal camera registers heat rather than colour. That makes it possible to search fields, woodland, scrub and ditches faster than on foot, and it works in darkness, where a search would otherwise have to be called off. I join as an additional resource when you have a search under way.

Paid searches are commissioned by emergency services, police, municipalities, insurers and agriculture. The work almost always falls in the evening or at the weekend, where the rates make a private search disproportionately expensive — which is why this is written for commissioning organisations rather than private households.
