01Background
I work as a subcontractor. Contractors, inspection firms, consultants and insurers hold the work and the client relationship, but rarely a pilot on the payroll — and rarely one who can move at short notice.
You keep the client, and I deliver the flight and the material in the format you need — raw data for your own report template, or a finished report you can pass on.
Beyond inspection work I am called out for emergency support and thermal search. That work is rarer, but it is where a thermal camera in the air can shorten a search considerably.
Flight and framework
Flies within visual line of sight (VLOS). I can join as a remote pilot under your own operating authorisation and your operations manual — typically in longer-running arrangements where you need an extra pilot at peak load, or cover for individual flights. You provide the aircraft and you train and approve me for the operation.
If you provide the aircraft, I am familiar with the DJI Matrice 30, 300 RTK, 4 and 4TD as well as the Mavic 3 Enterprise, and I work in DJI Pilot 2 and FlightHub 2. On platforms outside the DJI ecosystem I fly in Mission Planner (ArduPilot) and QGroundControl.
Used to working under SORA and to established SOPs. If the job is to run to your own procedures, that is the way of working I know.

02The aircraft
DJI Matrice 4T
An enterprise aircraft carrying both a conventional camera and a thermal sensor. The thermal camera registers heat rather than colour, which makes it possible to find an animal in scrub at night, see moisture in a roof structure or locate a failed cell in a solar array.
The equipment is named so you can judge whether it fits the job. If a job calls for equipment I do not have, I say so rather than solving it with something that does not fit.
